Brazil 2014 kicking off overnight!

Brazil's World Cup kicks off with the host nation facing Croatia at 0530 Brisbane time tomorrow morning. It could make for an interesting start but the swell of crowd support in the first match should get the hosts home.
Quickly my group picks:
Group A
Brazil to go through with Croatia and Mexico pretty much even for the second spot. Slight edge to Mexico to advance along with Brazil

Group B
Australia's personal group of death where the Socceroos are expected to finish last. Spain and the Netherlands are expected to go through with Chile an outside chance against the Dutch.

Group C
Columbia is the best of this group slightly ahead of the Ivory Coast and Japan along with a dangerous Greece. This is a group where upsets could occur .... gonna go Columbia and surprises Greece from this group.

Group D
Only two can go through but there are three strong contenders...Italy, Uruguay and England should battle for the spots with Costa Rica along for the ride in this group. Hmmm..... let's go....Italy and......Uruguay.

France goes through from this group and look for Ecuador to edge out Switzerland and Honduras just happy to have made an appearance.

Group F
Argentina should come away on top of this group with relative ease. Bosnia-Herzegovia should just get past Nigeria to also advance and Iran will make a quick appearance.

Although the group appears to be tight overall....look for Germany and Portugal to go through slightly separating themselves from the USA and Ghana teams that could possibly have advanced from other groups.

Belgium, Russia and South Korea are near equal to go through from this group with Algeria along for the ride. Look for Belgium and South Korea to advance.
