Round 3 for Cavs-Warriors
The 2017 NBA Finals series is upon us and once again we have Cavs-Warriors for the championship. With each squad holding a title, this years third instalment will break the metaphorical tie.
Both teams seemed to be vulnerable through injuries at times during the season but still remained favourites throughout.
The Warriors come in knowing they were just a turnover away from being poised for a three-peat after last season's Cleveland win. The Cavs now have a taste of championship glory and don't want to start a fresh Cleveland drought.
On the court this time around, each team has new weapons but the thirst for glory remains the same.
Among the keys to the series will be how Kevin Durant handles being in the Finals vs LeBron again, Steph Curry vs Kyrie Irving, Draymond Green on "D" vs LeBron or Kevin Love, the performance of J.R. Smith, Tristan Thompson vs Warrior centers and of course the bench where though the Cavs are deeper, the Warriors will have Andre Iguodala as the X-Factor.
Overall, I think the Warriors depth will get them through and expect a few unworldly moments fro Klay Thompson along with Iggy to be the difference.
I'm going to go out on a limb and say this year, it only goes six though every game will be close!
