Super Bowl Pick

And now...Super Bowl LI

Super Bowl 51

New England vs Atlanta

We are down to two teams for the crowning moment of the 2016 NFL season. The New England Patriots will clash with the Atlanta Falcons for the tit in Houston Texas on Sunday (early Monday in Australia). My picks of Pittsburgh - Seattle did not quite make it through so no soothsayer prizes for me this season.

For the game itself, Atlanta is a vastly different entity this time around in their second appearance in the big game. Though they haven't been tested late in games for a while, the team finished strong this season instead of fading away late in the year as in the past. The Patriots are well...the Patriots so they will be the more seasoned of the two preparation/experience wise.

Along with the explosive offense that has evolved over the years, their not often mentioned defense has been an opportunistic bunch that has come up with big plays when needed. The Pats have been the Pats in getting the most out of their roster throughout the year even during Tom Brady's suspension.

So, the above being said, I think the score will be in the 20's and the game could hinge on the mid third quarter to early fourth quarter stretch. The Falcons have came through consistently in these deciding moments and may turn the game again during this period. If they do, then they will have to withstand a Patriots comeback attempt. My advice to them...for motivation....watch Giants-Pats Super Bowls on a loop overnight!

In the end, I going with the Falcons to pull ahead and hold on for the win.

Super Bowl LI Pick:
Falcons 28-23

Enjoy the game, see you next season...
