Early picks for the week...

Ranked teams, NFL kick off the weekend

Brigham Young (25) and Baylor (8) kick off the NCAA weekend with showcase games on Thursday and Friday night before the rest of the ranked teams hit the field on Saturday.
On the NFL side of the coin, Pittsburgh visits the troubled Baltimore Ravens amidst the Ray Rice turmoil.

The picks....

NCAA

Houston @ BYU (25)
The Cougars win here for sure, but to be clear, it will be the home standing BYU team fresh from their demolition of Texas last weekend.
BYU 37-17

Baylor (8) @ Buffalo
Baylor gets some exposure in the Northeast on Friday night when they visit Buffalo who will be hoping to fare better than their 70-13 blasting from the Bears when last they met.
Baylor 51-20

NFL

Pittsburgh @ Baltimore
The Ray Rice situation has overshadowed the lead up to this one. Without adding on or going through all of the rhetoric about it, I'll just say, it is never ok, in any situation to hit a lady.
Now for the on field activity. The Ravens are simply too distracted this week and will lose out at home.
Steelers 31-17

Back with the rest of the weekend's picks soon....
