Dodgers-Diamondback renew acquaintances in Sydney
BrisVegas, Australia - 22-March 2014
While March Madness is in full swing back in the USA, the 2014 Major League Baseball season is about to kick off in Sydney with the first of two games between the LA Dodgers and the Arizona Diamondbacks. Though it may not make much of a ripple with a 4am Eastern time USA start, it is a momentous occasion non the less. The Dodgers were last seen dancing in the pool at the Rattlesnake Den celebrating their division clinching win last season.
Things have been a bit chippy amongst the two squads with a brawl or two breaking out last season.
Aussie fans will see Clayton Kershaw face off against Wade Miley tonight with lefty Hyun-Jin Ryu facing Trevor Cahill on Sunday.
Each team has faced Team Australia in the lead up with Arizona getting shut out 5-0 on Friday night and the Dodgers pulling out a win in the late innings on Thursday night.
Should be an interesting two days and more interesting to see where the game in Australia goes after the weekend...stay tuned.
