NRL
Kickoff due in hours
BrisVegas, 6 March 2013
The
2014 NRL Season kicks off in Sydney with 2013
preliminary finalist South Sydney facing off against last season’s Grand Final
winner the Sydney City Roosters.
The
games between these two teams are always entertaining, with the teams occupying
the top two spots at the close of last season, it should be no different.
The
Bunnies have looked the goods for the last two seasons before falling short in
the finals. The team will look to get maximum mileage out of Sam Burgess before
he departs at the end of the season. Loti Tuquri returns to Aussie shores again
and it will be interesting to see if there is any magic left in the once feared
runner.
The
Bondi Tri-Colours come in looking to back up from last season’s performance and
bring home another title. Roger Tuivasa - Sheck is expected to do big things for
the Roosters this season as is Frenchman Remi Casty.
As for tonight's game, look for South's to get a little payback for a Round 26 loss last season to the Roosters that cost them the Minor Premiership.
I have not really been a predictor of NRL games in the past but with a new blog and new season launching, I figure after nearly 26 years on Aussie shores, I may as well have a punt!
Expect it to go down to the wire!
