March is upon us!!

Who will dance this year
Cinderella Slippers optional

There are some dance cards that have already  been delivered and many more will come in the next week before Selection Sunday . As always, there will be some who are deserving seemingly but left out for mid to low level power conference teams that pull upsets after losing in their own conferences.

Enough of the preamble for now, let's have a look at how things could shape up for the field of 68.

Firstly, to those who are already in or the ones with tourneys ending in the next couple of days.

Ohio Valley Conference

With Belmont pulling an upset over the Murray State Racers  to take the OVC tournament, the questions have already started as to whether or not Murray State is worthy of an at large bid to the big dance. The Racers will have to wait out an anxious week to see if/where they will go NCAA wise.

Atlantic Sun Conference

The North Florida Ospreys consolidated their regular season first place finish by winning the conference tourney crown on Sunday over South Carolina Upstate . There will only be one bid for this conference.

Big South Conference

Coastal Carolina punched their ticket with a win over Winthrop on Sunday for what will be the only bid for this conference. Watch out Duke!!

Missouri Valley Conference

Northern Iowa goes dancing as the conference tourney champs after beating Illinois State and Wichita State will join them on the merit of their season and #8 ranking.

Ivy League

While The Ivy League does not hold an end of season tournament, fittingly, the league crown will come down to a one game playoff between Harvard and Yale after the two tied in the standings at the end of conference play.

That will be it for now.....back with much more over the next few days!!
