Sweet sixteen narrows over next few days

Sixteen to Eight to Four

By Sunday night, the field will be set for this season's Final Four in the 2015 NCAA Men's tourney.

I will have to double up as I will not be able to pick the regional finals from a hospital be!! Unfortunately, tomorrow will be hernia repair day for me so will be laid up over the weekend!!

Anyhoo...here we go pick wise.

Midwest Region

(7) Wichita State (30-4) vs (3) Notre Dame (31-5)
This game will be a tight one for sure, Notre Dame will have the extra incentive of playing well for coach Brey after the loss of his mother last week. The Irish however will have to avoid foul trouble.
Notre Dame by 6

(5) West Virginia (25-9) vs (1) Kentucky (36-0)
Can "Press Virginia" give the Wildcats a scare? Of course they can but they will in turn have to deal with the depth, interior defense and versatility of Kentucky. All in all, this one could be tricky but Kentucky will do the "wearing down" by the end.
Kentucky by 11

Regional Final:
Kentucky over Notre Dame by 9

West Region

(4) North Carolina (26-11) vs (1) Wisconsin (33-3)
Of course I wan the Tarheels to win, but I have the Badgers taking it all so therein lies the dilemma. Might jinx the Badgers by picking them!!
Wisconsin by 2

(6) Xavier (23-13) vs (2) Arizona (33-3)
Arizona should get through this one.
Arizona by 10

Regional Final:
Wisconsin over Arizona by 5

South Region

(11) UCLA (22-13) vs (2) Gonzaga (34-2)
Gonzaga will not slip up this season.
Gonzaga by 8

(5) Utah (26-8) vs (1) Duke (31-4)
The lack of depth will not catch up with Duke just yet!!
Duke by 7

Regional Final:
Gonzaga over Duke by 5

(8) NC State (22-13) vs (4) Louisville (26-8)
The Pack has a win over the Cardinals earlier in the year and they have been known to upset fellow conference foes in the big dance. So will they do it again? Perhaps!!
NC State by 3

(7) Michigan State (25-11) vs (3) Oklahoma (24-10)
Izzo Factor!!
Michigan State by 6

Regional Final:
Surprise!! NC State over Michigan State by 3

I'll be back after hospital stay for another look and update!! Enjoy the games!!

Also good luck to the Bellarmine Knights against Florida Southern in the NCAA Division 2 Final Four!!
